We recommend the day after you arrive in Okinawa, or around the middle of your trip.We do not recommend your arrival day because travel from the airport and flight delays can make your schedule unpredictable.

Sessions normally go ahead unless there is a typhoon or heavy rain.If it rains, we will try to reschedule during your stay in Okinawa. When rescheduling is not possible, we photograph at a sheltered location.

We do not accept bookings for general hair and makeup alone. Our partner salon accepts hair and makeup bookings for wedding photography sessions only.

We recommend renting a car where possible. Outside Naha, public transport is limited and taxi fares can be high, so a rental car is the most convenient option.If you cannot drive, consider a taxi tour or a private tour vehicle.

Hotel interiors, grounds and hotel beaches in Japan are private property, so photography is not permitted without approval.A session may be possible if you are staying at the hotel and obtain its permission in advance. Please check with your hotel first.

Depending on the location and session, travel, photography permits, parking or additional guests may incur extra fees. We usually recommend locations without extra charges.Please see PLAN for studio add-on prices. We will confirm any location-session costs and provide a quote during your consultation.

Wedding photography clients can rent dresses and accessories for an additional fee. A veil is provided at no extra charge.Please check PLAN for the outfits and accessories included in each studio package, and discuss your preferences with us in advance.

Sessions on islands beyond Okinawa Main Island are available by arrangement. These bookings require a session of at least two hours, plus a travel fee.Visit our main website, usherinmaking.com, for location photography. Please send your preferred island, dates and session details so we can confirm availability and provide a current travel quote.
